Compiling the OverChat Server

So you want to compile OverChat? Compiling OverChat is a long-winded and complicated process unless you are using some type of dependency-tracking packaging system. It is possible to compile the entire system on most platforms but it is complicated. I highly recommend that you use a binary package instead. If there is not one available for your platform, we can compile you one for a small fee.

  Win32

Building on Win32 is not officially supported. Though it should be possible to build the system as long as you have Cygwin. We require GNU autoconf/automake as part of the build progress but we try to keep the code clean of any particular platform dependencies.
